UConn Game!

On Saturday we went to the Connecticut / Missouri game! Preston had gotten tickets for his birthday, compliments to my parents. It was a super fun game. We both had Connecticut winning this game in our brackets, so we didn't have to cheer for two different teams. It turned out to be a really good game too it was close, they played good, and our team won!
We had been told that there was going to be tons of traffic and we should leave earlier than we were going to and as you can see we we're there REALLY early. But it was fun to just chill and take it all in that we were at an elite eight game!

So while we were sitting there I noticed that there was blue tape on my cup holder, I thought that maybe mine had cracked or something. Then I looked up and notice every-single cup holder was taped!

Evidently State Farm is NOT sponsoring the NCAA Tourney and they were not allowed the advertisement! Preston and I were joking around about it for a while. Could you imagine having that job. "OK Joe, here is your rolls of blue tape and some scissors; we'll start here, I'll go this way and you go that way!" I know they only use almost half of the Glendale Stadium but that would have taken forever! Really you would think that it wouldn't be that important, but I guess someone thought it was!

And then there was this guy. I didn't notice him til the second half but he was nuts. Every time the game stopped for any reason he had a new hat on and was dancing like a weirdo, he didn't even need the band music to be doing it either!

I think I had an encounter with him at the concession stand though, I was waiting behind the only other lady in line and all of a sudden some guy came running up to the counter. He was wearing dress pants and a jacket and he had a big backpack, but I'm pretty sure it was this guy. He ran up said he needed a Dasani really loud and in a rushed voice kind of threw his money out at the lady (who by the way could have helped ME, I was next in line!) and then he was off, running in the direction of that seat. I think he has to wear a disguise in and out of the joint so he doesn't get beat up. He did keep us entertained though!

Kiddos!

So this post is going to be quite long, but they are just mini posts all together. We have been busy and my kids are super cute and funny.
My two little monkeys in the bed! Lately this is how our morning goes, Kya and I are up already and after a while Baden will start crying. Kya will run up the stairs yelling, "I'm coming Baden!" She climbs up in his crib and starts jumping on the bed. Making both Kya and Baden laugh and laugh! Then she'll pretend to be a baby too, and lay down with him. Kya loves Baden and Baden loves her right back!

Baden is growing up! He's getting so big. He's 15.6 lbs according to our scale, that's before he ate too. He is getting more interactive and has the cutest smile and the BEST laugh in the world! He is getting to that point that he is trying to grab things (and he knows it now.) He likes to be sitting up to be able to look at what is going on, he also likes his Jumperoo, and bumbo. This last week has been tough for him because he's already getting his two bottom teeth! He is still a super good baby, and is still sleeping through the night and only cries when he's hungry, poopy, and now when his teeth hurt. Which is only a tiny bit more than usual, for him.
This Girl is FUNNY! She loves to run around and play and like I've said in the past loves to help me do everything. Well...
She was playing near my make up the other day and I had a tube of eyeliner that had run out, well, it still have that very last bit that you can never really use. But I thought I'd just roll it down all the way to the bottom and let Kya have that one. She pretends to put on make up while I put on mine so I thought it would be perfect. Well somehow she rolled it up and was using it. I first only saw it on her hands so I got her up at on the counter to wash her hands when I noticed her face. I immediately started to laugh so hard. I told her to look in the mirror at what she did to her face. She got a terrified look on her face and started to try and wash it off. Which she couldn't because it's water proof, so she started to freak out even more. I told her to hold on while I got the camera. She was so ashamed of it being on her face that she ran and hid from the pictures (I know it's mean on my part for insisting that I take them, but I did.) While I was cleaning her up she kept saying, "Is it off now, is it all better?" Now when I pull out my eyeliner she always says, "All over face!"
Just her being a goof, I think she was pretending she had a headset on answering the phone.

And here is another one that makes me crack up, she wanted to get all dressed up the other night and gave her leotard to Preston while he was watching one of the basketball games. He wasn't paying attention and just slipped it on her. He put it on backwards and she looked so funny. She obviously put everything else on though. Oh funny Kya!

My Kya!

Kya is my favorite girl in the world. She has just been so much fun lately and I love playing with her. Just recently she has started calling me "Herrary" SO SILLY! I always tell her, "It's mommy to you!" She calles Sleeping Beauty, Sweep'n Booty. She loves helping mommy with EVERYTHING... eating, drinking, coupons, dishes, baking, cooking, even with my make up (which on that one she's usually not very helpful.) In the mornings she basically makes her own scrambled eggs while I just about supervise. She is a big girl and is growing up so fast.
LOVES:
kisses
lots and lots of kisses
candy
chocolate
being tickled
singing
pink nails
dressing up
the "get you" game
helping
reading
walks

Here is a whole post dedicated to my cute chubby little guy. I've taken a lot of pictures lately that I haven't posted, so here are some. I realized I really do take a ridiculous amount of pictures. But I love them all!

RIP Binky

Here is Kya's version of the story...

Last week I woke up one day and decided that Kya is too big for her binky and she didn't need it anymore. That day I decided that she would be able to have it while she was in her bed, but not out of it. She didn't like that and screamed a lot that day just because she knew it was around. Then the next day she started to do it again and I just decided that it needed to REALLY go. So I took her downstairs while she was screaming for it and cut the tip of it off and gave it back to her. She put it in her mouth and then IMMEDIATELY took it out and said, "It's not working!" So since it wasn't working it went in the garbage. And that was the end of binky. So she has been pretty good without it now that she realizes that she is a big girl and that binky it all gone... cut up... in the garbage. The first night she cried for about 15 min (but in that time she threw up and I didn't realize it til morning... gross, but not too bad.) And other nights she has cried for a minute or two and then she's fine. So all in all not too bad. Why I didn't do it sooner? I don't know.

Oh My...

I have two of the cutest fat bald twins growing up two years apart that anyone could ever have. Look at this comparison...

Oh and plus I just figured out the awesome affect that I can do on the camera, so a lot of my pictures are like the one above. I love my kiddos!

Too Funny!

This one requires a little preface, remember the DJ Lance Costume I made for Preston in Oct. Well it is featured on GabbaFriends.com and apparently people actually look at it. So today, really out of the blue, I get an e-mail from a lady in Texas, that says:
I really need this costume for shows. Could you sell it to me? Let me know, great job it looks great!
She sent me the link to her site which looks like they dress up like characters of all sorts and go to kids birthday parties. I e-mailed her back and she asked if she could call me. She called... we talked... and I sold the DJ Lance costume for $100.00!
The funny thing is if she would just have read the post on Gabba Friends she could have just made it herself. But this way is just fine with me. I will make more if that's the going rate!

Preston is a Year Older...

And wiser too!
So I will be the first to admit that I am HORRIBLE at giving gifts, my poor husband. Maybe I will get better through the years! Anyway I will have to make it up to him somehow! But I thought I would at least give him a post! He at least got a cake (courtesy of my parents). And the night before his parents took him to a dinner and a movie. So it's just me that is the slacker, but I'll count our trip as a gift.
When we first met Preston lied about his age with me, and to pretty much everyone else too. And for a long time I thought he was a year younger than he really was. Even when I did know his age he would still lie about it to everyone else. He has since not lied about it for a while and now knows his real age!
Anyways yesterday was his birthday and I told him that he will always be 26 to me!
