Halloween

Our Halloween festivities started when daddy got home.  We painted and carved pumpkins.

I love the kids' pumpkins, the faces are about the best dollar store find yet! 

Then it was off to G-ma and G-pa's

Where we went Trick-or-Treating 

And had fun with cousins

Then off to Grandma and Grandpa's for more Trick-or-Treating and cousins!

Halloween Parties

We had a few parties on Saturday night.  Our ward party where we ate chili and hot dogs, and then we did some games, ate cotton candy, and jumped in the bouncy house.

Then we were off to my parents ward party... which is always completely amazing!  They had games that you could play and get tokens, which you could exchange for prizes.  A haunted house that you could climb up the chimney and look out.  And the highlight of Preston and I's night was the bubbles... these were not just any bubbles they had dry ice fog in them and when they would pop the mist would disperse!

The Fourth!

We had a very fun Independence Day! We started off the day slow and slept in a bit. Then went to eat at Dilly's Deli (YUMMMMMM!), and then we swam all afternoon at Hamilton Aquatics Center! The kids had a blast there is a great kids area with a slide, lazy river and a whirlpool! Had so much fun! Then came home took a nap, then ate dinner at my mom and dad's. Then over to Grandma and Grandpa Brooksby's to swim some more, and watch fireworks!

We did some sparklers and a few of our own fireworks before the real ones started!

Then we let the kids make their own fireworks, bubble wrap... always a big hit!

New Years

For New Years we stayed home and had fun with the kids. Preston went out and got some fireworks. We started celebrating at about 8:30 so the kids could go to bed.

The kids loved the sparklers, a 2 year old and a 3 year old don't have the concept of staying at a safe distance from the other so I stopped taking pictures after a bit.

It was so cold that night that we were freezing by the end of the fireworks so we came in and drank hot coco. The kids both had the prettiest beanie hair.

And Preston didn't know why I was making him take a "hot chocolate picture" but at least he worked the camera!
