Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a good one.  Good food, good times, and lots of love with lots of family!  Sending love to Jace and Karis and kids, we missed you!

So thankful for these... a hubby that I most absolutely love, who works so hard for our family.  And these THREE wonderful kids.  For health and love.  For faith, and my testimony.  And for all the love and support from all my other family too.

Then off to Grandma and Grandpa Brooksby's house.  Where there was more than enough pie for the crowd of 50+.  No pictures because I was busy chatting away with everyone.  Bo was nice and happy with Grandma Great again and then was past to a few others.  The kids were off playing with all the kids there and had lots of fun.  Preston watched a little football and then got a nap.

We went back to the Stapley's for some leftovers and more pie, and some games.

Primary Program

Kya is such a cute, good, fun girl!  Last Sunday was her first Primary Program!  Both Grandparents were there to see her perform.  We all sat right up on the second row to watch.  We were sitting right in front of her thinking we had the best seats in the house... until the first song started and the 6 and 7 year olds stood up RIGHT in front of them!  I probably would have started to cry if we weren't able to scoot all the way down to the end of the row to get a good angle.  Anyway she did awesome.  She sang so well and loud, and was so cute up there.  Even when some of her friends around her were crazy she was pretty well behaved.  It was also cute to see her be a normal Sunbeam and mess around a little.  I love this girl.

And of course Baden had to get in on the photo opp after church.  We were a little worried about Baden because he loves to perform too.  We prepped him a lot before church to make sure he knew that Kya was going to be singing and not him!  It helped that grandparents were there.

Twilight

Love these girls, love my girls' nights, and love my hubby the most for being so dang willing to help!  He is amazing, taking all the kids, when Bo is only a month!

My grandparents are fortunate to have the same birthday, it makes the day super special to wish them both a Happy Birthday!

Month Old

Look at this handsome boy.  He is still a pretty content baby.  He actually looks intentionally at me now and it is fun.  His newborn size clothes don't fit him at all anymore and he is starting to grip onto everything with a death grip, sometimes it's just my skin!

Baden, and Kya still like to hold him as often as possible.  And Baden will always be found on top of, smothering, or giving kisses to Bo CONSTANTLY, he sure loves his baby brother.

On Goings On

I feel like I haven't blogged forever... but it seem like everyday is about the same as the next.  I've been getting a little stir crazy and the kids have been feeling it too.  My days sound like this, feed baby, change baby, feed kids, clean up, feed baby, change baby, feed kids, clean up, read books, take naps, clean up, laundry, clean up, feed... you get the point.  With a some movies, dress up, hide-n-seek and some yelling mixed in there a bit.  Oh the yelling, oh I hate yelling!  I really don't want to yell anymore!  But it seems as though I've been conditioned to yell by my children.  So I'm working on it, some days I do better than others.  It seem when I have a day that I'm super determined to not raise my voice at all, that is when the kids push my buttons more than ever... so I try to control it throughout my day.  I'm sure the world needed to know all of that about me, but that is my vice right now... and I hate to break it to you but I am not perfect!

Here are a few pictures of us during our normal days in the house.

The kids are super helpful and constantly want to hold Bo... or kiss or hug or smother him.  They love him SO much and have to be around him LOTS.

There was a day when Bo was about a week I left Kya on the couch like this, while I went to grab something from the garage.  I was only a few seconds.  As I opened the door back up I heard Kya's voice super close and loud... she was standing in the middle of the kitchen (on the wood floor) with Bo in her hands.  I GASPED, then catch myself, praised her for doing such a good job holding him... but we don't get off the couch with Bo.

He is such a good baby still and will take a bottle when needed (now that I have a nice new pump that takes WAY less time than my other one, so I don't mind as much.)

And I think this middle child need a little attention too!  He has always been a silly boy but he has just gotten funnier and funnier.  He has adjusted pretty well, he acts up a little more than he used to but I think he has done well.  He loves dressing up and he comes out with the best combinations of costumes on!

A Few Things About Bo

Bo is filling out... he already weighs 9lbs 6oz at 2.5 weeks old!

He likes lying on his stomach

He grunts and growls like a bear

He hums with each exhale for about half the day, it is about the cutest thing ever heard

He doesn't like to poop until you open his diaper... or he will wait til he has a clean one on

He'll let me know when he's done feeding by collecting a mouthful of milk and then he'll proceed to spit it all out when he gets off!  And here is proof!

Halloween

Our Halloween festivities started when daddy got home.  We painted and carved pumpkins.

I love the kids' pumpkins, the faces are about the best dollar store find yet! 

Then it was off to G-ma and G-pa's

Where we went Trick-or-Treating 

And had fun with cousins

Then off to Grandma and Grandpa's for more Trick-or-Treating and cousins!
