Good-Bye Mullet

Yes today was Kya's first hair cut. I was a little hesitant to get the only hair my little girl has cut off. But after a little convincing from my sister and sister in law, we got it copped! I didn't know how she would do sitting still and not freaking out, because she won't let me do anything to her hair. So we had dolly and binkie close by so she felt more comfortable. Natalie, my sister in law cut it and was so good with Kya, it also helps that Kya loves Natalie a lot! So here she is just before she got it cut sitting in the chair.

Fight FOCA!

So I'm not the best at being really.. um.. let's say into current events or news or crap like that but Preston every once in a while will fill me in on things. Apparently we got a new President or something like that. Ok, ok I'm not quite that bad. But I will say this, most people's basic home page is MSN (which has at least a few headlines on it), mine pops up with Google. So I don't even see anything, and yes I get the paper only to pull the coupons out of them. BUT ANYWAY Preston did inform me of this new legislation that is trying to be pasted called the "The Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA). FOCA would establish the right to abortion as a fundamental right (like the right to free speech) and wipe away every restriction on abortion nationwide. Preston told me some of the details of how and when they would be able to kill the babies and it made me sick and want to cry all at the same time. I just received an e-mail to sign the Petition to

Pretty Dancing

Kya likes to dress up every once in a while, she always asks me if she can be "priddy!" She didn't want real clothes on she just wanted to be pretty! It made her happy to be naked and pretty.

Kya is pretty, even though she always looks like she just got in a fight! If you notice she has a bruise that goes all the way down her forehead, and she has now cut both her top and bottom lips. She's just our pretty hockey player!

Kya is such a sweet big sister! This is how I find her a lot of the time!

We've got a silly girl on our... face!

If you are lying on the ground Kya thinks that she has to climb on you. I don't know why but she likes to be on your head if she possibly can. Daddy had just come in from working and laid down and was checking his phone, and this is what Kya did.

Anyways this one needs no explanation, but my mom gave him the idea. She had said while Baden had his blue faced, "Well, if Preston comes over with a blue face we'll know what he's been doing!" Preston decided right then that this is how he'd show up for dinner.

The funny thing was that he stayed like this all night for Sunday dinner.

He's a MONTH!

Time flies, this little boy has grown up so fast! He is still the best baby in the world. He cries when he's hungry, other than that he is just a content kid!

Oh My Blue Faced Boy

Ok I only share this info for the sake of explaining the pictures. I don't mean to get too personal or any thing but...

Evidently my body doesn't fight yeast very well because I seem to always get an infection while I'm breastfeeding. Oh the joys of feeding! I had several while I was nursing Kya and YAY it's my first with Baden! It's not itchy it just sends shooting pains while I feed and a lot of the time when I'm not. Sounds lovely huh? I started feeling the familiar pain right around 5 pm on Friday. Which lucky me, the doctors offices are closed so I couldn't get the drugs called in before the weekend! Knowing how bad the pain gets if it's not treated I sent Preston to the drugstore to find anything that would help. There was something and it has helped over the weekend... BUT it is a little messy, and dyes everything, ya know just somewhat, BLUE!

Isn't that AWESOME!

I had to go to the orthodontist yesterday and someone asked me if he had sucked on a marker! I wasn't wanting to take him out anywhere for that reason... but I had to.

New Years

For New Years we went and spent some time with some friends at their party. We had decided to party hop but in the transition from party to party we decided to drop Kya off at Grandma and Grandpa's. Since it was kind of late we ended up spending the countdown with them and never hopped to the next party. We kinda made our own right there. Whitney and Micah had dropped their kids off earlier that night and came back, and stayed as well.

Yes all of the kids were still up to ring in the new year, there were fireworks going off across the street and they all wanted to see!
