My Favorite n My Best

This is our new favorite place! It's right under the Gilbert water tower, there is a splash pad area and it is super fun! We happened upon it when we went out to lunch with my friend Jacque to the Farmhouse. After lunch we let Kya play in the water, she loved it! She would look right at the hole and then the water would shoot out and get her in the face. She didn't even care she would just laugh!

We had to show Daddy the next night to show him how cool it was.

And got a surprise too, at night they put blue lights on the water and it was even more fun!

SO MUCH FUN!

SideNotes: Kya is such a girl she will let me clip all 20 nails now if she gets the reward of 'paint nails' after. She wanted blue flowers, and then I did polka-dots as well. She held still for the entire time!

Other news, I made these "flowers" for my friend's bridal shower. They are actually thongs and the base is wrapped with a feather boa! I should start selling them and call them "bridal buds!"

In a BAG!

Yes, I have started potty training and that is a Kya track!

So here is the story I had just had her go in the potty so I thought I would have time to go check the computer for a few. She had just gotten down from my lap, (thankfully) and she comes back 1 minute later saying she's wet! I come out to find Kya tracks.

I follow the tracks to find this...

Yes, that is urine in a bag! IN A BAG! She had taken the time to hold a bag and try to pee in it, THROUGH her big girl panties; instead of sitting on her potty. What a goof!

She has done a lot better since then, less accidents today!

Then it was Baden's turn to shine it was his first time eating cereal and he didn't quite know what to do with it but he didn't make any faces. He did get it all over though, as expected!

Daddy n Kya Driving in Back

So on Saturday I was in the house taking care of Baden. Kya was outside, like always, doing the lawn with Daddy. We had a TON of weeds in the back, which consisted of those stickery ones that even though the weed is dead the stickers stay forever. Preston and I were talking about how to get rid of them and we had said that we needed on of those rake things they drag behind a quad on baseball fields. Preston was in the backyard with the truck running over the tall weeds with Kya.

Then all of a sudden I look out side to see this...

I was running out of space on the camera and it cut me off before I said 'real estate sign'!

Kya thought it was the most fun thing ever. Preston said that she kept saying, "Woe, woe." Just loving every minute of it.

It did get rid of a lot of weeds so I'm glad they had fun while they did it!

Easter Weekend

One morning Kya comes to me with one of my old swimsuit tops and says, "Boobies, I want boobies." So I put it on her and then she hands me the bottoms and says, "Mommy, put on some." So I had the bottoms on and she had the "boobies" on.

The next morning she wanted it all on. Funny!

Saturday we did an egg hunt, and lunch at the Stapley's.

Baden fell asleep right before the fun started.

Kya collected her eggs and then sat on G-ma's bed. She would pick up an egg and shake it, if it shook she'd open it and eat the contents. If not she would throw it.

On Saturday night we had family pictures with all of my family, the Hatch's. Which I think are going to be SO cute! We get to see them in about 3 weeks!

Sunday the kids wore their Easter stuff. My mom made Kya a REALLY cute Easter dress. Thanks Mom! She looked so cute, the cutest one at church! And of course Baden was cute too!

Sunday night we went to the Hatch's. We had dinner and had fun with Grandpa and Grandma. Grandpa even played "the dot color game" with Kael. Kael told Grandpa it was his turn to be the "daughter" Grandpa didn't know what that was and asked, "The what." "You know the 'dotter' I tell you what dots to go on!"

And the others were outside blowing bubbles with Grandma. Except for Rhett he was inside talking with us.

Happy Easter

As I was up putting together the Easter basket I decided to check my blog for updates. My friend Meg had the above video. I loved how Elder Holland paints that picture for us. The Atonement really is such a personal thing, Christ knows who each person is and what they are feeling... always. He died for us and He LIVES now to show us the way, and what we can be. I know that my Savior loves me. Easter is not about bunnies, eggs, or baskets, it's about our Lord, and Master, Jesus Christ. I'm grateful for that knowledge, and for everything I have!

Girls Game Night

I should have posted this a whole week ago but I've been busy so here is the belated post. It was Rachel, and Natalia's birthday so I thought I would do something special for it. So I made chocolate bowls.

The bowls ended up turning out but it took forever for them to set up. The sun shines through my kitchen window and heated my granite up. Next time I will know not to have them sitting on the island.

Sorry to the girls that left before 1:30... I didn't think to get the camera out until things got brutal, and bloody. Which was about the time we started playing spoons! It was really funny because there were times that someone accidentally had two spoons in hand, but there would be two girls fighting over (what they thought) was the last spoon. It seemed as though Bekki was always the one fighting for a spoon. She may look small but she puts up a pretty big fight!

Girls were throwing elbows, knees, nails and full on tackling anyone with a spoon! Next time we'll know to wear our hockey gear!

Girls game night is my favorite every month!

I'm Not Good at This

Yeah, there's another one on the way! Baden and the new one will be a little close but it will be ok! I'm kind of freaking out because we just found out that Preston's third brother is having twins! Preston has three brothers and they all have (or almost have) TWINS! AHH!

Did I fool anyone because I thought that this was going to be the BEST April Fools joke EVER and Preston didn't even believe it, well for a split second but that's it! Evidently I SUCK at FAKING stories! I'm really going to have to work on that, being married to Preston... Who just for fun makes up embarrassing stories and doesn't even care if that person thinks that for life! So I went through all the trouble of asking my friend (who is prego) to pee on a stick for me. Practicing all day to keep a straight face and he didn't believe me. When he questioned if it was really my pee I TRIED to play it off but it didn't work for long! So if I got anyone on here I'll be happy!

But the part about the twins is still true, and yes I'm freaking out!
