Challenge Nation

This is our team "Censational Cinco" we competed in the Challenge Nation.  It was kind of like "The Amazing Race" but local.  Consisting of Stuart (Nat's brother), Myself, Preston, Natalie (sis-in-law), and Bryan (my brother).  It was super fun.

They gave us all the clues at the same time, then we had to figure out where to go and take pictures.  The clues were harder than we thought they would be and it took a lot to figure out.

We ended in 1hr 37min and we came in 31st but some teams got disqualified and we ended up really getting 21st out of about 170 teams!

Other than the fact that I almost got run over by the light rail, and that I was the slowest one on the team I think we did really good!

We Love to See the (Gilbert) Temple

We went to see the Gilbert Temple after the kids doctor's appointment.  We have driven by many times but this time we went inside the visitors place.  The couple gave us the run down of everything.  They even gave us a chunk of the facing of our own!  Each of the kids now have a piece of the temple, which is super special!

Birthday Weekend

Preston's Birthday was really great, and he was amazed that he actually got presents this year!  

The kids HAD to get him a Angry Bird because even the kids know he is obsessed!

He had the day off because his company InfusionSoft sent us on a vacation and it started on his birthday!  So we did presents in the morning.  Went to lunch with the kids at Rubio's, then went to Krispy Kreme (by the way they don't give out a free dozen anymore it's just one doughnut).  Dropped off the kids for the WEEKEND and went to a resort in Scottsdale.  It was perfect, just far enough away to feel like you are out of town but the drive back home was easy!
We stayed at Montelucia right by the pool.  We got a whole goody bag from his work, that had lots of fun treats and gift cards and such.  That night we went to Studio Movie Grill, which was super cool they served us dinner while we watch our movie, This Means War.  Good food, good movie, fun night.  We stayed out late because we could.  Had a fun time at the 7eleven, and then went back and had some fun at the hotel.  
Friday we went to Scottsdale Fashion and shopped all day!  Most of that time was spent in White House Black Market, I literally could buy everything in that store, if I had endless amounts of cash.  

Then after shopping we got massages, so lovely!  Then it was to Morton's Steak House with some of the other couples from InfusionSoft.  Oh my goodness it was amazing food, and such a fun time.  

Since it was a company thing they had a few things you could choose from so we had no idea that Preston's food would come out looking like the Flintstones meat!  Yes we were the proud parents of a 25oz baby boy!

Next day we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.  Had Sushi for lunch.  I went to Joann's Etc. (which is no different than the Joann's at Gateway) while Preston went to a car museum.

It was such a nice get away and was nice to forget about moving and boxes and cleaning and such.  Plus it was great that someone else noticed how hard Preston works besides me and that he was rewarded for it.  The time off with Preston was so great.  He is my favorite and my best!

Oh and PS we moved (across the street).

Kya's 5!

I can't believe I have a 5 year old already!

Even before Baden's birthday Kya has been telling me that she wanted to have a Pajama Party.  So that is what we had.  Everyone looked so cute in their jammies, and I fit right in!  We danced and painted nails, because that's what you should do when you wake up--don't you know!  Did presents and cake and had lots of fun!

G-ma took Kya and Ella after her friend party to do lunch, shopping and then paint at Make a Wish.  Kya painted this horse.

Sunday was her actual birthday and she was so excited to have everyone sing to her in Primary.  She said, "Mom, I smiled the whole time I was up in front of everyone to show them that I loved their singing."
Then we did her family party that night and she was so excited!  She has grown up so fast and is learning so much.  she is so sweet and helpful.  I love this girl!

80's Prom

So for Valentine's Day we had a ward 80's Prom dance.  And let me tell you that Preston and I had a totally radical time!  It was super fun to get to dress up and let loose.  They served dinner and then we busted out the moves on the dance floor all night!

I don't know how people looked in the mirror in the 80's and said, "Wow I look GOOD!"  I loved that my dress was so totally 80's but really... it is the most unflattering, yucky, dress ever!
