It is so late this is why I haven't had a blog!

Preston has had the flu lately, first of all I’ve never seen Preston actually really sick. He usually bounces right back and is fine in a day. So this time it kind of threw me, he’s been sick now for a week. I haven’t minded taking care of him but he is a pretty big baby (I only say that because he said I could!) One of the days he was laying in bed and I walked in and he started moaning, he said, “Just so you know I only moan when your around.” I didn’t quite know how to answer back, were you trying to make me feel better?

So Preston’s been playing on a soccer league and it’s been fun to go watch and support him. His last game was Tuesday night and they went the whole season undefeated. Preston has really improved from the first game up till now. I think the first game he played about 5 minutes and was pretty winded. Now he plays as much as anyone else and he doesn’t even seem a bit fatigued! I’ve always known he was quick but even with a soccer ball he can out run anyone on any team. He is fun to watch and I’m proud of him.

The second to last game I was a bit distracted though Kya has just figured out that the hills in between the fields are really fun to run down.

Kya is really the cutest girl ever and she is always making us laugh. Every night before we go to bed we just start laughing at the silly little things she has done that day. Her favorite words are “Ah-oh” and “Hel-lo”. She loves getting her shoes on because that usually means that we are going outside, but if we are in the car she gets mad because she can’t take them off!

We’ve been going to the splash pad lately to play in the water. There are different sprinklers that turn on and Kya loves it! When one would turn off she was running and screaming to get to the next one.

As for me I cut my hair! It’s shorter than I’ve had it in a very very long time. I don’t exactly have a picture of it yet but I will soon. Oh and she highlighted it for the first time in my life! Something new… um… it’s kinda hard to actually think of what I do. I have been really enjoying my new calling... I finally feel like I’m getting the hang of it more and more. I really do feel a love for each of the sisters and I’m relying on the Spirit more to guide my days. I know that the Lord has a need for me in the RS Presidency and He is guiding me, or I think he would have picked someone older and wiser. I thought it was funny the other night I went to one of the leadership meetings with all of the presidencies in the stake and they automatically assumed that I was from the singles ward. I have been keeping busy and I like it that way.

Catch Up!

Just for an update for those who haven't seen us in a while.


Preston is working very hard. He works in the basement. (Which makes it nice for me because I can see him whenever I want.) He is working with his buddy, in construction. He has just landed them a few new commercial projects which won't start for a bit but the contracts are signed. One of the projects is the old Osco Drug on Val Vista and Southern. There are going to be building out the inside into different shops. It's exciting to be able to get a major job like that. I really married the hardest worker ever!


As for me I get to play with Kya all the time! I really enjoy being a MOM. I get to feed the ducks almost everyday and I'm always taking a stroll around the block. I can't tell you the number of times I've watched Blue's Clues lately. I don't have an actual job but I'm a couponer and it takes time to save money, I would call that my unofficial job. I've been cooking a lot and I really enjoy that too! I would say I'm a pretty dang good cook too!



Kya is the most fun little girl. She is now not just walking but running and dancing all over the place. That girl can hear music playing anywhere and moves and grooves to it for sure! She has a SWEET tooth, she loves anything that has any sugar. She loves being outside and would stay out all day if she could! She has gotten more and more fun as she grows and its neat to see her personality coming out. She is definitely an independent little one, she couldn't have gotten that from me, wink wink!
