Serious Jabber Box

The other day we were in Kya's room together and evidently she had something serious to tell me. I was afraid if I ran to get the camera she wouldn't do it any more, but I was glad she kept going. She went on long after the clip stops too! Her faces are the best!

This last Wednesday I got my braces OFF and I LOVE it! I even have my retainers on in the pictures and you can't even tell. They're the clear plastic ones that fit over my teeth I am still getting used to them. I haven't seen my teeth in over 2 years so my teeth look so big to me!

This is what's new at our house, we finally have our new fence up and it looks great!

While the fence was down our neighbors behind us gave us a playground set, its awesome! And look we have grass in our backyard now!

Picture Day/Father's Day First Day at the Beach (Mon.) Kya didn't last long the first day. She didn't act like she liked it much. I'm glad that changed, because no child of mine is going to be a beach-hater!

I did take her in the house for a while and she had tons of fun! She kept making faces at Sandra and I through the glass door! She looks like she has a hairlip!

Tues. Kya LOVED the sand, don't know what changed but it was fun to watch her play.

She didn't mind having the sand all over her, as you see!

Tuesday night we went to the amusement park that was a couple houses down from the beach house. Kya LOVED the merry-go-round...
... until she had to get off!

Thursday she played so hard she conked out and slept on the beach.

New Baby Update!

So today was pretty cool, we had a doctors appointment for the new baby and during the appointment the doctor did the dopper (i think that's what it's called) anyway you can hear the baby's heartbeat with it. Which is always fun to hear. He said it was at a healthy pace and everything sounded good. I thought that that would be it for the visit and then the doctor looked down the hall and said, "You know what no one is here and my ultra sound tech is off today, let's give you a free ultra sound." We weren't going to be getting our first ultra sound for another 6 weeks or so, but my doctor is so nice that he snuck us in and did the ultra sound. It was really fun to see, ecspecially when it was unexpected. It was also fun because the baby stretched out a couple of times and we were able to see both legs pretty clear. The baby measured 5.77 cm, and 12 weeks 2 days, so basically it's right on track for my due date of December 14th. I really love my doctor, Dr. Falk, he really is a funny and great guy, you can really tell he loves doing what he does.

On another great note, if I haven't already told you, I get my braces off JUNE 25th! YEAH!

We Have an Announcement

We are pretty excited to tell everyone... We are expecting a new addition
Yes I’m Pregnant!

PRESTON has officially quit his job with E-Built. The easiest way to put it is that he felt like it was not what he should be doing, not for any particular reason, but it just felt right to leave. He is now buttoning up the finishing touches on our investment house we are building. So after that we are taking a venture into the unknown, we didn't get a clear answer on what the replacement job should be but Preston is excited to try out a new business idea, we'll just have to see. Let me add that I'm pretty excited about his idea as well and am glad he has followed the promptings of the Spirit.

KYA is super fun to have around. She really does new things all the time and is the cutest thing with legs! She has stared to jabber A LOT! She'll walk up to us with the most serious face and start saying something in her language, which I know she thinks we understand, and sometimes she'll nod at the end of her statements, like yeah that's right.
She has really mastered the stairs she can do them all by her self. It's really nice that she can entertain herself every once in a while with just changing her scenery. She did fall down the stairs once but there was just a bump on her head. For the most part she has been really good, and has not been too big of a pill on those days that I'm just to tired to move. She'll just play around the house and watch Blue's Clues. I've really lucked out with such a cute and good girl!

AS FOR ME... May has been a busy yet unproductive month it feels like. Let me explain... I have had a lot of things to do this month and yet a lot of those things didn't exactly get done when I wanted them to be. Probably because I've felt like puking most of the day and I have been extremely tired! I know that it is an awesome thing to be pregnant but man I sure do HATE the whole ordeal. Preston asked me if I felt this way about pregnancy when I was pregnant with Kya. I told him "No because I didn't know what to expect and I was hoping that whatever it was that was bothering me would stop soon, but now this time I know when this stops there is a new thing that's right around the corner!" So right now it's "morning sickness" which really lasts all day long (whoever named that had to be a man!), which hasn't let me get much done some days, because I feel so nauseous. But it is slowly getting better. I don't remember feeling this tired with Kya, maybe it is because I didn't have to take care of a one year old before.
