Colorado Trip

We went to Colorado, to visit one of Preston's mission buddies. He and his wife live on a farm right inside the Colorado boarder. They have 18 month old triplets so Kya had a ton of fun!

The first couple of days we went up to their cabin to play in the snow.

The next day we played in the snow even more. Kya loved it SO much. Preston was in heaven too he loves the snow, they had snow mobiles that we had fun. Preston acted like a little kid on those things. I enjoy the snow when I know it's only for a couple days. The tots all ate a fair amount of snow and went sledding down a small hill. When it was time to go in Kya DID NOT want to go in!

The next day we packed up to go back to the house, I had packed all of Baden's blankets so he had to wear my sweater while we road back to the highway in the Cat.

Back at the house getting snacks outside and playing in the snow. Meet Alyvia, Ben, and Ryder. Kya's new friends. She had so much fun with them. And I think Alyvia enjoyed having another girl around.

You can't see but both daddy's were out the window cutting down a huge tree!

I realized that I didn't have very many pictures of Baden, he was on the trip too he was just inside a lot!

Preston was able to get a couple floor seats at the Nugget's game. So Preston and Kip drove up to Denver to watch the game. While they were gone to the game Clarissa and I went to an indoor pool with all the kiddos. The water was a little cold, and the only warm water there was, was running down the kiddie slide. So all the kids were huddled around the warm slide. After a while Kya figured out that the slide was quite fun and she went down it a lot. But of course after I had already put the camera back.

It was a super fun trip, and we may just have to make that a yearly occurrence!

Kya's TWO!

This is my sweet Kya...

I don't take very many pictures of this cute one as you can tell, haha!

Well my little girl is TWO and her birthday started off in the ER, oh how I love the ER. So last night my mom had come over to give me some of her cake decorating tips and Kya came down to say hi to Grandma before she went to bed. Kya was playing with Grandma and all of a sudden she started CRYING and holding her arm. She wouldn't move it or anything she kept it really still and let us rap it in ice for hours. Every time she would move it she would bawl! So we took her to the ER around 10 pm. They had us wait and wait and wait and then did x-rays and we waited and waited and waited some more! Kya finally fell asleep on my lap around 1 am and finally around 1:50 we got a room. The doctor came in fairly quickly, she took Kya's arm and turned it and said, "She's all better!" WHAT, I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours with a two year old that wouldn't move her arm and that's it! Her elbow had dislocated and it took literally 1 second to fix! Relieved that nothing else was the matter but mostly upset that it was now 2 in the morning, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYA! What a way to start the day! Needless to say it was a slow morning.

But for lunch we took Kya to Peter Pipers. She had a lot of fun. The Tonka dump truck was her favorite and she probably rode it 15 times. Another little girl tried to get on it after Kya and Kya told her to share and that it was hers! Preston and I played the Deal or No Deal game which lets you have the amount of tickets that are in the boxes, and we won a lot of ticket. So we let Kya pick one of the 150 ticket prizes. There was a sparkly jeweled purse, necklaces, and some dinosaurs... my little girl chose the dinosaur! Funny girl!

After a nap she got what she had been asking for a PINK PARTY, with cupcakes! The house looked so cute thanks to Preston, and the cake look SUPER CUTE thanks to me! Oh and my mom came over and helped me with a lot of the details, so thanks mom!

All in all it was a pretty pink and fun day!
