So I decided one day to take Kya's training wheels off her bike and teach her how to ride. Well it didn't take long before Baden decided he would like to do the same so off his came and now I have two big bike riders. It only took a couple days to get this good!

Baden's Birthday!
Baden is officially four! This morning we took him to pick our his own bike. Came home and took the training wheels off (oh yeah that's new both of my kids are riding without training wheels pretty cool!) Then for lunch we went to Peter Piper Pizza (I don't know why I didn't at least click a picture or two, but alas I didn't.) Then it was party time.
He has been talking about his birthday party for quite some time now and had it all planned right down to the cake. He had asked for a Pirate Party with a treasure cake. So that's what we did! Everyone upon arriving got a bandanna and we yelled a lot and said silly things like scallywags and arrrrg! We pretended to be on a ship and we saw whales and mermaids and a shark that one of the boys saved us from and punched him in the face. Then we got the treasure map out and found all the X's with treasure attached. Presents went by way too fast, in a blur the were all opened. Then it was onto the cake...I must admit the cake was really awesome! Then we played games and had fun. Baden loved it and he loves his friends.

Field Trip
Kya's first Field Trip. She went to see a play called the Quiltmaker's Gift, or as Kya tells it the Greedy King. She was so excited when she came home one of the most exciting parts of the trip was that she got to ride the bus and it didn't even have seat belts! She recalled the play pretty well and with a lot of details.
"There was a king and he had lots of stuff but his stuff didn't make him happy (because things don't make us happy). Then one day he wanted a quilt and the quiltmaker wouldn't give it to him. And so the King got mad but the quiltmaker wouldn't give it to him and made it fly up with her magic. The king asked her what he had to do to get the quilt and the the quiltmaker told him that he would have to give away his stuff but at first he didn't want to. But then he realized that his stuff didn't make him happy so he gave all his stuff away and he was given the quilt. The King learned his lesson and was happy."
I was pretty impressed by how much detail she gave along with the moral of the story and everything. She is a smart girly!

Christmas Fair
Bashas' had a fair and it was a pretty good one! We were able to ride most of the rides. The kids had so much fun! We spent all of our ticket and at the end we finished it of with nachos, sno cones, and a caramel apple mmmmm!
The kids got to ride the Ferris Wheel all by themselves! It was fun to watch them get to do it alone.
Bumped into friends and rode some ride with them!

Family Pictures
So we finally got some family pictures taken and they turned out great. I don't mean to brag but look at how darn cute my family is! My friend Stacy Guthrie took them and she did such a great job AND we had them back in a few days, amazing!

Mommy's Little Helper
The normal help all mom's get from a 1 year old...
I usually try to get the dishes done when this little helper is not around but if he hears the clank of utensils he bolts to "help"! He is the cutest helper though!

Lake
We went to the lake as a family for the first time ever! Our friends were kind enough to take us along! We had so much fun! I haven't been for so long I had forgotten how much I LOVE the lake. It was the first time I've gone wakeboarding since kids, it was so fun I couldn't stop smiling, just the best! Preston was able to get Kya up on the board and she loved it! The kids had lots of fun on the tube, and thought the lake was great! Good trip!
