Our Splash Pad

This summer has been great... we have our very own splash pad in the backyard and we have just join a gym with a pool.  Watch out hot days we have backup!

PreK Graduation

Kya is officially graduated and will soon be starting kindergarten!  We had the graduation party at our house it was super fun!  The girls all looked so good in their gowns and caps.

So proud of Kya she is a smart girl and she has developed some leadership qualities.  She is getting so big and we love her so much!

Gilbert Temple Hood-Ornament

The day that didn't go our way.  We had heard that the Angel Moroni was being put up on top at 10 am so we rushed down there only to be told that it was too windy.  But it would happen later that day.  

This was at 11ish when it was windy.

 Well Kya had dance and I thought I had eyes and ears that would inform us when it was happening, but things happened without us.  It was super disappointing, not to try to have a pity party but I was super devastated I had been looking forward to it for months.  Telling the kids this would be a special day that they would remember.  And. we. missed. it.  I couldn't believe it at first.  I had told LOTS of people to make sure they were down at the Temple, and yet we weren't and we weren't called.  I know it's not the end of the world and life happens this way sometimes but I just felt like one of the Ten that didn't have oil.  I could now relate with those five very well, maybe one of them had even introduced the others to the bridegroom... and now had to miss it.  I hurt for a few days.  But the Lord heals.  The Lord has helped me see the good too though.  There has been many parallels that have been drawn from missing it, and it's ok.  We are still right here and get to see it being constructed, we are still lucky.  And we were there that day just a few hours before and few after.

Oh My Fun Kids

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was wonderful.  Preston spoiled me with lots of gifts, chocolates, flowers and breakfast.  Heart shaped Egg in the Bread and a great day of helping little hands and fun.  The kids made me pictures galore and were very sweet!  I was very excited to have got a Ninja... it is super cool, and I love it!

  Oh and ps it's really sad when I can keep cut flowers alive longer than I can live flowers.

For dinner we had delicious ribs, can't get enough of my dad's cooking.

Had four generations of lovely ladies. 

My mom is amazing and helps me a lot!  There is so much sacrifice that goes into being a good mom and I realize it more and more as I do the countless acts that my mom did for me.  I will never be able to pay her back or return the service she has provided me.  I am so very proud that she is my mom and that she taught me, and continues to teach me what's right.  I love her!

Mother's Day Dinner

The night before Mother's Day we had a wonderful dinner at the Stapley's.  You would think that for Mother's Day you would let your children serve dinner... but not for my Mama-Law.  That just doesn't fit, she loves to put on the party with the pretty tablescape and all, it is always a feast with wonderful food.  This time I could not get enough of the fruit dip yummm!  Love this lady and what a wonderful Mom she is, she did a great job raising 4 boys, one of which I love more than anything.  

Kya's Dance Recital

Oh my goodness I couldn't be more proud, Kya has been taking dance and her recital was so fun.  I am a little partial but she was the best dancer on stage.  She really does have a talent in dance.  She loves it and her confidence gets boosted every time she dances!  After her performance she kept saying, "I just feel so happy inside!"  She really was so happy she could hardly contain it!  And Baden is just the cutest support, "Kya you are the best star, I feel SO proud of you!"
