Lately

I have a week or two that I need to catch up so here is what we've been up to for the last couple weeks.

Some friend had a big slip-n-slide, our kids didn't go down it much! They just enjoyed the food and friends.

This was a couple of weeks ago, we went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Greats. It's starting to cool off here now so this was probably our last swim.

Baden is in a big boy bed and he knows he's not supposed to get out... but this is how I found him one day!

One of the nights Preston was gone we went and played at the park with cousins!

Today we made some Halloween decorations and the kids had fun helping.

My Baden Boy!

Oh my Baden boy! He is 21 months which is such a cute age. We recently cut his hair and he looks older and more of a kid than a toddler now. He is kind of a mama's boy but still independent, like when he goes to nursery there is no looking back. He is very caring and gentle but yet can wrestle all the time too. He loves playing with balls and cars. He is at the stage that he can mostly tell you things but not quite with his words. He loves the movie Lion King to make sure we know what movie to put in he'll say, "moobie? ROAR!" For the most part he is a good sharer and has a laid back personality. On the other hand he is loud and crazy when playing with Kya. He is a good brother and copies everything that Kya does. He has no fear and will jump off of anything he can climb. He makes the funniest facial expressions. When he gets tired he falls asleep where ever he is, he usually falls asleep at church either on the pew or on the floor in nursery.

The other day he had found the nut cracker and was doing this!

He is such a funny and sweet kid! I love my Baden Boy!

Kya Girl

Kya is 3 1/2 and is very bright. She is very strong-willed and has a spitfire temper but she is very nurturing as well; she is the second mommy around our house! She is very helpful and loves to be given responsibilities, she likes doing the dishes and taking out the garbage. She loves to talk and make up her own stories. She loves to perform and will make a stage out of any part of the room to have a performance, and when she's done she expects applause. She makes up songs all the time, mostly to the tune of a primary song but with her own words that she puts with it. She loves to dance and is pretty aware of her body poses. She is very girly and likes her nails painted, wear bracelets, and wear dresses; but she is pretty tough and can hold her own in a wrestling war. She loves school and asks everyday if she has it. She pretends constantly that she has two babies and one is named Ali most of the time. She'll come out of her room and say, "My babies are sleeping right now, so you'll have to be quiet." She loves to tell jokes and be silly. She is my sweet girl.

Scooter

The scooter is fixed!

Wetness!

Last weekend I was home with the kids, when I knelt down to help Baden with something, and my knee got soaked! I immediately thought it was the kids, and that they had to have spilled something. Kya kept telling me that they didn't spill anything and then I realized that the water was ALL over! I franticly started to pull things out of the way, two of which were our memory boxes! I pulled the carpet up and got a fan going to dry out the SOAKED pad and carpet. Then I looked up and saw the wall SOAKED with water running under the paint! Soaked drywall, soaked carpet plus on a holiday weekend, not a good combo!

Paint was moulting off the walls!

If you notice the water had spread all the way down the wall on the right of the picture!

Well we fixed the problem, it was the AC unit right above this wall, that leaked all over. Then we had a guy fix the drywall, re-texture, and then I got to paint it!

Good as new!

Ward Campout

We had our ward camp out this last weekend.

We got there just in time to get under a roof before it started to POUR!

The kids had fun even though it was wet.

Preston was one of the ones that told a "tall tale" he gave a great performance of Pecos Bill.

Didn't sleep much that night but had fun the next day.

Picked and ate lots of berries.

Preston was the king of Boccie Ball.

Fun camp out if I forget that I didn't sleep, the kids didn't sleep and the crankiness that followed.

Back to Life -- Back to Reality

What we did for our Anniversary

-Preston watched the kids while I got a pedicure.
-Dropped the kids off at G-ma's at noon to stay the night.
-Went to Flancers for lunch...so yummy.
-We both got messages at 2:30...blissfull...I was in heaven, really AMAZING!
-We walked around the mall and window shopped.
-Caught a movie at 5..."Knight & Day" at the dollar theater.
-Went and got SUSHI...our favorite...always has been our celebration meal.
-Came home to no kids (we do love them) to grab our swimming suits.
-Went to Golfland at 9 to play some miniature put put.
-Went pool hopping at 10:30 into San Montero and swam and used the jacuzzi.
-Finally came home around 11:45 and just enjoyed our time together. We contemplated just falling asleep in the long chairs by the pool...Preston got out voted
-Slept in till 8:20 this morning with no kids waking us up before or anything! (still love them)

-Went to IHOP this morning (one of my favorites) for breakfast.

-Then off to pick up the kids, now it's back to life--back to reality!

Such a great break! So fun to just spend that whole time with my sweet hubby! I love him so much and still love spending every minute with him!

Gilbert Temple

Joy School

Introducing the cutest newest preschooler! Today was her first day of school and she was SO excited! I hadn't told her that she was starting school before today so that I wouldn't get bugged "Do I go to school today huh, huh, how about today, now, now, now!" So this morning daddy told her she was going to school and she about burst with excitement! "Mom did you know that I get to go to school today! You and Baden and Daddy don't get to go!"

Needless to say she did great and walked right in with her backpack and had a smile on her face the whole time!
