Drum Roll Please

Baden officially has TWO teeth. Yes, finally after teething for a month and a half in misrubal pain he's teeth have broken through! He got his first on Sunday, and the second poked through today! AND he is officially sitting up too, no support for about a minute all by himself! AND he is starting to eat his food instead of spit it out!

Camping

We went camping with a lot of our friends in Payson. It was a nice get away and fun times. The night we got there Preston wanted to go romping in the truck. Unbeknown to any of the guys that jumped in first, which didn't have seat belts and were not prepared for such crazy driving! The two in the bed of the truck quickly were not after about 20 seconds. But the boys made it look like so much fun that Preston took some of us girls and we LOVED it! I'm used to just trusting Preston, because he really is a great driver when it comes to things like that. But the others were scared we were going to crash at times! We were prepared with seat belts and all, unlike the boys! There was a lot of squealing, screaming, and laughing. It was a VERY fun ride!

We went climbing and repelling the next day and it was SO much fun!

We had lots of fun!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we had a BBQ at Grandma Grandpa Great's (Grandma & Grandpa Brooksby to me). We all got to swim, it was a bit cold but very fun. Kya kept wanting to get out to get warm but Baden stayed in just enjoying every minute of it!

Dad's Birthday

For my dad's birthday he treated us, all of us, to Joe's. What age is it when you can stop accepting gifts and treat others, oh wait that usually my parents with anything! Kind of backwards but it was lots of fun! I don't feel too bad cuz I took my dad out to sushi that week and I even snagged the check (that never happens)! Anyways the kids had a blast running in the grass outside at Joe's, and we got to enjoy family and yummy BBQ.

Then we walked over to the water tower to let the kids play in the water.

Then it was back to Mom and Dad's to eat pie!

Dolly Drama

So this was last month but just wanted to catch up. You all remember Dolly, well yes Kya is still attached to her very attached! Kya takes her naps with panties so every once in a while she was having accidents. Well she didn't just pee the bed this day she peed on Dolly as well. By doing so, Dolly got gathered up in all of the wet bedding and thrown down the laundry shoot. OH man did that cause a MAJOR meltdown. She remembered that when I took binkie away I told her that I would never take Dolly away. So she started screaming at me that I was taking Dolly, she was clawing at the laundry shoot, basically going ballistic. SCREAMING, making it certain that I knew that I had promised never to take Dolly and now her worst nightmare was coming true! No matter how I tried to put it she wouldn't calm down. I tried saying that Dolly just needed a bath and that she couldn't sleep with Dolly JUST for this nap because she was wet. Didn't matter, I had TAKEN Dolly and THROWN her down the laundry shoot! I tried to have her calm down and finish her nap by giving her Abby (the replica of Dolly). Which subsequently got thrown across the room, with more screaming! So thinking she would cry herself to sleep I left her and went to wash Dolly up. I don't know why I have not given Dolly a bath before now but holy cow she was nasty.

The water was that gross it turned BLACK! Gross!

So this was pretty traumatic for Kya obviously but a week after this happened I heard her in her room in the middle of her nap crying that she peed the bed again. I come in her room and all of her blankets are off the bed. I thought to myself "Well good at least only the bottom she could have gotten wet." But just to make sure I checked the blankets and when I got to the bottom of the pile I found Dolly wet from pee! I got to give her credit, she knew if I found Dolly WET she'd get taken away! She's smart that is for sure!

Walks

We don't take as many walks lately because it is HOT, but it was a pretty nice day so we went. Kya LOVES going for walks because we get to see the goats and horseys! I think it is kind of funny that she is scared of dogs that get too close but she will hold her hands out to feed a HUGE horse! She LOVES them though, this one is our favorite he's really mellow! She will even pet his head all by herself!

Good On Goings On

Well it is HOT in the Valley, so much of our on goings on are in the water or just staying in the house. We have gone swimming a couple of times (but taking pictures isn't the easiest) so no pictures of swimming but we have gone to the splash pad a few times. I went with a couple of my friends and their kids; they were all more interested in the water falling down the wall instead of the actual water shooting out of the ground!

The rest of these are just us having lots of fun inside. I take pictures everyday and so this is just a few from the last couple weeks. This is our new recliner, well new to our house, this is the chair that I grew up with in my house. We were the lucky ones to get it when my parents got a new chair. I love this chair, it was my favorite growing up and now its mine! I'm so excited that we have a recliner now.

I came in one day and Kya was full on reading Little Mermaid to Baden. He was loving every minute.

She is a good teacher cuz he's already got it down!

Yesterday Kya was pretending to be a doggie, she was super serious about it too. She wouldn't talk at all, she would wag her tail when she was excited and she wanted to play fetch. She never stood up or used her hands to pick anything up. When I would ask if she wanted me to throw it again she would kinda nod and pant; I was pretty impressed!

Catching Up

I have a TON of things to catch up on with my blog, I will probably be back dating things so bare with it! I have been wanting to blog so bad for the last few weeks (I really am obsessed). I just haven't had time plus "my" computer is the lap top which is also used by my sweetie for work appointments. And I would rather have a hard working husband than a computer for my blogging needs! Unfortunately blogging is NOT our source of income! So as much as I miss the luxury of having "my" computer around when I have a minute it has been kind of nice to not have the temptation of wasting time on it too! Cuz like I said I'm OBSESSED, and it's not necessarily NEEDED!

With that I will just give a short update on our family. Preston's still completely loving his job and has been working really hard implementing new ideas and tools for things to run smoother and to help the visually oriented (as myself)! He has built e-mails that are AWESOME that give discounts on EVERYTHING throughout the AZ valley. Kya is getting to be so big. She is so fun and is such a good girl. She is officially potty trained we are just working on the accidents when she is not at home. But she has done awesome and when she is at home she with do it all my herself, even when she needs to go poo, which is huge! She can count all the way to 13 without skipping any numbers. She is so kind and helpful, and still completely LOVES Baden. She gets sad now if I don't take him upstairs with us before her nap so that he can listen to the book as well! I love mornings around here now, (I'm starting to be a better morning person) because the mornings that I'm not already up. I get woken up by hearing my two cute kids sitting in the crib laughing. The other day I don't even know where she got it from but Kya had climbed up in the crib and she was making Baden laugh and then I hear her say, "Boo-yah!" It was the funniest/cutest thing to hear. She has taken off with her talking she can say anything she wants! The other day she and I were upstairs getting ready. Baden was downstairs and got to crying a little. When Kya yells down the stairs, "Stop crying Buddy!" And then returns to my room and says, "HHH, Mom he's not listening to me!" I died laughing!

Baden is getting so big too. He's almost 6 months! I just took him in to the doctor thinking he had an ear infection and he turned out to be completely healthy. But they did give me his weight while we were there and he is a whopping 17.2 lbs! He likes milk! And evidently I've got milk! I would say he's an "eater" but he's not too fond of the baby food/cereal yet. He loves being on his tummy and playing which is fun for me because Kya HATED her tummy! He rolls over SO much now. He is getting better at sitting up with the Boppy but not quite there with no support yet. He's started to talk and jabber, oh I love that cute baby talk in that cute little voice of his! I sometimes think that he has already figured out how to throw a fit. Because he has a certain cry that he uses when you take stuff away from him or set him down when he doesn't want to be. The last couple comments make him sound difficult but he's not. Those things are very far and few between around here. He really is so happy, chill, and CUTE! He has been a little clingy since we went camping last weekend. And his teeth are coming in and have been taking FOREVER to break through so that kind of has been playing in to his calm temperament lately. He is still the cutest little guy I've ever seen!

I have been hanging in there. I've been having some issues with my health but for the most part am doing better. I went to the doctor because I've been feeling like I was going to pass out almost every time I stood up. It has happened to me since Jr. High and so I didn't pay much attention to it. But when it started happening 15 times a day I decided that it's probably not normal. So not sure if it's exactly related but the blood test came back having too much thyroid hormone in it. So they're figuring that I have a hyperactive thyroid, which could be caused by pregnancy so I'm just going to wait it out for a little while longer to see if it will regulate it's self if not I will get more tests done and get it under control. In the mean time my doctor has given me some blood pressure medication that has helped a bunch with the faintness. So I'm managing a lot better now! And on a different note I got a workout video called the 10 Min Trainer and I absolutely LOVE it! I'm out of shape and have been feeling stronger doing the workouts. They are REALLY great workouts and I don't have an excuse to not do it because it's only 10 minutes! Have I mentioned that I LOVE it! If you want to come over and try it with me I'll totally let you, if you don't mind my huffing and puffing and dripping sweat two minutes into the workout!

Mommy Maid

Have you ever wished for a bigger house? Well if so you can come CLEAN mine! Don't worry I'll clean yours in return... well if it smaller! I was just thinking today if I was to play that game MASH now, I would totally add a built in maid to go with the M! In the last two days I have cleaned my WHOLE house. (Ahh the days when it only took me 1!) I usually spread the house work throughout the week but I couldn't take it anymore I think I just caught the 'Spring Clean Fever' (now that it's summer) and had to get it all done! Here is what I've been doing the last couple, I have... cleaned 4 toilets, 1 urinal, 4 sinks, 1 shower (kinda like two though), 1 tub, the kitchen, the dishes, vacuumed/dust mopped/mopped about 5000 square feet of floor (give or take a closet or two) oh and the stairs, washed and folded laundry, taken out the trash, taken out the recycle twice, baked two loafs of bread, on a Mommy note: read about 20 books, played with balloons, swam, caught dinosaurs and sharks, fed, changed, clothed, re-clothed kids, and cleaned up spills/accidents. And you know, having it in writing doesn't even do it justice!
I'm beat, BUT my house is CLEAN and my kids are happy! I really am blessed to even have a house and I'm grateful for the health to clean it! So all in all... good days!

The "6" Tag

I already posted this one but I was true to the 6, I went in to the sixth folder and took the sixth picture. This is what I found. It was on our Colorado trip Kya and two of the triplets Alyvia and Ben, got lulled to sleep in the Cat. So cute!

HILARIOUS

Last night we had our monthly Girls Game Night! And it was so much fun! This group of girls are the most fun and I LOVE our game nights! This time my sister-in-law came and she brought the most funny, random game EVER, called Qwelf! Yes Heather I'm sorry, I lied to you... this is a really embarrassing game... what I meant was EVERY ONE will get embarrassed somehow! We all had a REALLY fun time playing this game. It's usually better when it' s not your turn... because if it is your turn that means EVERY one is laughing at you, including yourself!

Just some of the randomness was recorded on camera but there was more... a lot, lot more. Like putting ice down your pants until you rolled a number, pretending you're riding an ostrich around a beached whale, pretending to strip tees, talking like Frankenstein, reading cards like a preacher, playing air drums, and other weird things. It was really fun!

Next we played spoons, we should rename it "WWE Tackle Spoons" because this game you have to fight for a spoon! I think everyone got scratched or bruised some how, not to mention scares from last time!

I'm so glad everyone came it was a blast!
